Attending the festival

general admittance

Attend the Montana Book Festival 2019 by purchasing a $15 Festival Button, available at Fact & Fiction Books in the weeks leading up to the festival. Festival Buttons come with discounts to local bars, breweries, coffeeshops and stores.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to hear when those buttons will be available!

Don’t want to attend more than one event? Single events are $5 at the door, just see a festival volunteer for entry.

All festival panels, readings, and events other than workshops at the Missoula County Public Library are FREE.

Where is the festival? All over downtown Missoula! Last year we took advantage of sixteen different venues, all within walking distance of each other. This year the events will be mainly at The Public House, The Dana Gallery, The Residence Inn Marriott, Downtown Dance Collective and The Missoula Art Museum.

special events

We are proud to announce that we will have a variety of workshops available this year! This is your chance to learn from professionals everything from how to make sure your memoir “works,” to writing funny poems! Workshops prices will vary, starting at $25.
They’re set to sell out, so follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the lineup announcement, coming soon.

When will there be a schedule and lineup?

SOON. We are working hard to announce the lineup and will have a schedule shortly thereafter. This is a long and complicated process and there’s a lot to accomplish.

We use a website called Sched to build the schedule and share it with all of you. Each individual author and participant will have their own profile, with a bio and photo. As an attendee, we encourage you to also create a profile! That way you can interact with the website, show that you are attending and read all the author bios and event descriptions right from your mobile device.

You can help! BECOME A SPONSOR or VOLUNTEER AT THE FESTIVAL!

Remember, we don’t exist without the excellent and supportive literary community of Missoula, Montana. THANK YOU.
